A fourth generation woodworker providing bespoke gifts and practical items for your home and garden.
Where possible the timber used is reclaimed, recycled or re-purposed, and most certainly no trees are cut down to fill my orders. When I do resort to wood-yards, I use sources local to myself in a deliberate attempt to minimise my carbon footprint and additionally support local businesses. Timber is air-dried and has been felled for reason rather then excuse. Most of my products are made from English hardwoods including oak, ash, elm, sycamore and beech. Yew also features in our products. The use of exotic hardwoods is limited to timber which has been re-purposed from salvage sources.
Unless specifically designed for outdoor use all the finishes applied to our products are natural, and where relevant totally food safe. We use our own beeswax and mineral oil products and finishes for many of our items.
Items are often available from local craft fairs and woodlands festivals, which will be advertised on the website as appropriate.
